The bulb plant with brownish orange flowers hanging from one side of the stem, a colour so unshowy that almost nobody notices. It is one of the few flowers in our flora that bets on not being seen.

How to tell it
Tubular brownish orange or reddish flowers hanging on one side only of a bare stem. Narrow channelled leaves rising from the bulb, often already dry by the time the flower opens.
What it is confused with
No dangerous lookalikes known in the Iberian Peninsula.
What it is for
No use. It counts as an exercise in observation: it is a plant you learn to see, and afterwards it is everywhere.
